The Cajun Menu | Authentic Cajun Cuisine in Canton, GA – Family Recipes & Fresh Seafood

Perhaps the best Cajun food I've had outside LA or deep East TX, not kidding. Family recipes, traditional dishes, and proudly acquired seafood. We tried the fried gator bites, a sampler of gumbo, etouffe, and red beans & rice, plus another seafood gumbo (make sure you add okra!). Oh man, and the beignets - honestly better than Cafe Du Mond. We'll definitely be going back... Strong recommend.

Having recently heard about this new to Canton (they moved from Jasper after outgrowing their former location) Cajun restaurant we decided to give it a try for our Sunday lunch. Let me start by saying run don’t walk to give this local gem a try. Having eaten in New Orleans many times our opinion is that this is possibly the best Cajun food we’ve had outside of Nola. The owners are from LA and use generational family recipes. While we perused the menu we were offered samples of two of their most popular dishes. After our first taste we had no hesitation ordering the Cajun Sampler (red beans & rice, chicken & sausage gumbo, & shrimp étouffée) & the seafood gumbo. Each one was pure bliss with just the right amount of spiciness. We ended our meal with the hot beignets. We ate them so quickly there was only the one left when I remembered to take a quick picture. We are already anticipating trying more of the menu offerings. This spot will definitely be added to our rotation.

Food is AMAZING. Service is GREAT they are really striving for excellence but they’ve already achieved it. Seafood gumbo was 10/10 and the queso crawfish chips were sooo good. Also they fry in beef tallow rather than seed oils! PS don’t believe the negative reviews they’re fake, I don’t think those profile even ate here

Went to The Cajun Menu today for the first time to celebrate my mom’s birthday! Being born and raised in Louisiana it sure was nice to go to a place that really is true Cajun food! The owner was very nice and very attentive to anything we needed! She also gave us the run down of the place and everything is made fresh by order and the French bread is authentic from New Orleans! The food was wonderful. We got the crawfish étouffée, chicken and sausage gumbo, shrimp poboy and the beignets. Everything was so great we will definitely be going back! You can tell the food was made with love!

Everything was amazing. The food, the service, literally everything. The owner even spoke to us about all of the different dishes, even offered samples of everything for us to try. By far the best Cajun food I have ever had. My toddler who is a picky eater ate his food (he even ate the alligator bites). Every single person that works here is so kind! Will definitely be going back.

We walked in and did not know what to expect at all, but wanted to give it a shot. There were 5 of us and the owner waited on us. She explained that everything is scratch made to order! It was a little longer wait just so to everything being made to order, which was no issue for us! We all ordered something different, with each meal getting 5 stars. Appetizers were fried cauliflower bites and fried alligator bites. Both 10/10 with the alligator bites taking the lead. Meals were the low country boil (10/10), shrimp and grits (10/10), red beans and rice (10/10), shrimp Alfredo (9/10), and chicken and sausage gumbo (9/10). We finished off with beignets which were amazing. Highly recommend this place, even worth a drive if you’re at a distance!

This wonderful Diamond in “ plain sight” is so reminiscent of old New Orleans. The ambience and service were totally Cajun authentic. The food was extraordinary and absolutely delicious. I experienced flavors, I’d never tasted before even from lifetime worldwide travels. This outstanding Mom & Pop will soon be a Top 10 choice anywhere. M2.

Absolutely incredible! The Cajun Menu is a true hidden gem in Canton. This is family-owned cooking at its finest — you can genuinely taste the love and high-quality ingredients in every single dish. We ordered the Sampler Platter, Crawfish and Roast Beef Poboys, Beignets, and cocktails, and everything was bursting with flavor. They even let us try some of their specialties — the light broth chicken & sausage gumbo, alligator sauce piquant, seafood gumbo, and shrimp & grits. Every bite was thoughtful, balanced, and clearly made from scratch. Tami puts her heart into this food, and it shows. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and the quality is outstanding. For the level of care, craftsmanship, and ingredients they use, the pricing is more than fair. I’m already planning my next visit — Canton is lucky to have this place! Highly, highly recommend.
